MANIFESTO

Foster connections between the ancients and the future by illuminating the present. Foster communion between: artist and viewer, neighbors, opposites, the past and future.

Study the ancients. They have lessons for today's know-it-alls. Our moment is not different.

Spring surprises on the passersby. Discovery is exciting and affirming.

Questioning is better than knowing. Embrace uncertainty in spite of fear.

Art has the strongest effect when lived with at home. Defying commodification is a feature, not a bug. Democratize artwork.

It is not necessary - or desirable - for the 'front end' of a conceptual artwork to be arrogant, inaccessible, snobbish, obtuse, or ugly.

Art is a time capsule. An impression may be the only clue to a petroglyph.

Everything is ephemeral. There is only the present. Man's greatest works fall apart. "Glory fades."

Go outside, especially in the snow

Every artwork needs a spot of red
